Applications are now open for the AfriTech XYZ Innovation Prize. AfriTech XYZ helps African tech startups connect with each other and experts across the global tech ecosystem. Through the advent of LIVE/pre-recorded video and audio content, we are providing highly sought after business methodology teaching to high growth potential startups in Africa.

#AfriTech19 is AfriTech XYZ’s campaign to identify and support 19 high growth potential tech startups from Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, South Africa and Uganda. The chosen 19 will enter into structured mentoring relationships with experts in the UK via video conferencing. The outcome of the campaign will be to help each founder gain the expertise they need to overcome key challenges in their businesses, get them widespread support that they can leverage to help them gain funding from local and international early stage VCs.

We have created a method by which every tech startup team in Africa can easily and affordably access the tools and resources they need to become locally and internationally investment ready.

Stages

Stage 1 - we want to know the headline about your organization. From this information, we'll select a shortlist to provide more information about your organization.

Stage 2 - we'll ask for more information about your organization, your team and your development as a business so far. From this information we will shortlist those that will pitch LIVE to a global audience.

The winner will receive £1000 cash and the finalists will receive $3,000 in Google Cloud Credits and $10,000 in AWS credits.

Eligibility

  • Must be up to 5 years active
  • Must be incorporated
  • Majority of your team schooled in Africa
  • Must have at least 1 woman in your senior leadership team
  • Must not have received more than £50K investment
  • Must have a working prototype
  • Must have an active customer base

UBEC Latest Update; Federal Teacher's Scheme Screening Postponed

  The screening test for candidates who applied for the Federal Teachers’ Scheme (FTS) in September have been postponed, this was confirmed by the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC). (Join our social media community to receive daily job alerts and other opportunities  Facebook ,  WhatsApp ,  Instagram  ) UBEC’s Public Relations Officer, Dr Ossom Ossom, announced the postponement in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Wednesday in Abuja.
